Registered nurses and midwives invited to participate in research for the Safeguarding Project
What is the purpose of this study?
This research explores the nature and scope of nursing and midwifery practices in keeping children safe from abuse and neglect (safeguarding) in Australia. The research has been approved by Flinders University Social and Behavioural Research Ethics Committee [no. 2939].
Am I eligible to participate?
You are eligible to participate if:
· You are a registered nurse (clinical or non-clinical) working with children in Australia; OR
· You are a midwife (clinical or non-clinical) working in any practice model in Australia.
What does participation involve?
Participants will be invited to complete a series of online surveys (up to four rounds) over approximately 6-9 months in a technique known as a Delphi survey. The first online survey is available from 19-04-21. Each consecutive round will become available after the researchers have analysed the data and updated the survey items. You will be notified by your nominated email address each time the next round becomes available.
